Wouldn't one think that kings have access to unlimited finances? To me, it's derogatory to put a small salary figure like that onto a king's labor or something of the sort.

How does the king earn his money?  Is he on welfare?  Tax posters party him to sit pretty and acts as a symbol for the nation?

Tax money, of course. Yes, welfare in another word. They are called state grants! :2funny:

SECRET SERVICE PROTECTION:  For those presidents who were presidents before January 1, 1997, yes, they get secret services for life after they leave office. But those who became presidents after January 1, 1997, no: only get secret service protection for 10 years.

That does not mean the presidents have to take secret services after leaving office. They can decline the service and be on their own.

SALARY AFTER RETIRING FROM THE OFFICE: $199,700 per year (beginning 2011 until changed again).

Princes get a little less than kings do. But Prince William tries to be a commoner.

Yeah, how does a king earn his Money? I would like to know that too. My theory is--- he takes it from the poor and keeps a little to himself. LOL

Not very surprised at the statistics. The flow of money depends on the economy and society. As bad as our economy is believed by many to be, we may have more funds than the Spanish.
