Holidays use to be about the Family. Now it's just about Money.

I feel sad. The holidays use to be about spending time with your family not about how much you spend on each person. I find out today that all my spouse cared about is that he didn't get the expensive gift for christmas. Sorry! But I'm so poor this year! I usually spoil him and buy him whatever he likes but this year I'm struggling with my money. Which he don't care to understand! I didn't even ask for a present! He's been grumpy all week. He wouldn't tell me why. Now I know why. What a selfish prick!

MissLonely, sorry to hear that. 

Yes, the holidays should be about spending time together with family and friends.  Not about gifts and money.  I miss the warm feelings of family gatherings from yesteryears!  And remember when we only got like one thing for Christmas?  Now, it seems customary for one person to receive lots and lots of gifts.  No more appreciation.

I get gifts all year round so I could care less for presents on X-mas.  I guess some follks are spoiled.

Selfish he is, but more immature and childish he is.
