Isn't that the same as the cableor chip he's referring to? Like the phone cable or jack connecting to the device?

I laughed at my bf when he said he didn't have wireless. But then again I let him slide that one cause I assumed he got his modem "back in the days."   ... (coulda upgraded it though)
