Only Hmong Pastors would say these kind of things, ask the advice of real Christians (The Catholic Church is the original btw), they're less bias.

Really? Catholicism is the most bias of the Christian denomination.

Hmong pastors generally get their education from universities.. .I don't see why their ethnicities make a difference.

Are you learning the Bible or learning from your pastor?

That is the question.  O0

Very different outcome.

From my experience, all the Hmong pastors do is put the Hmong shamans down.

Non-Hmong pastors actually talk about the Bible and give you a real life example on how to relate to a certain verse or w/e they call it.

When my father passed away and we took him to bury. We were told not to have a open casket. I don't know if it was a personal choice from the pastor or if it's a christian thing. God, I wanted them to open the casket so I can see him one last time but my sisters kept on saying "The pastor said not to open it on the day of burial". ::)

I have been invited to a couple CMA service before and I can honestly say that the Hmong pastors (many of them) do not know what the heck they are talking about.  They make no sense and they do not give a story to relate to any of the verses in the Bible.

There is one CMA where the youth group had a video clip shown on the projector of what they did on a trip to visit another Hmong CMA in Wisconsin.  It was not informational or about the church stuff as they said they were going there to do.  It was about them stopping by the gas station, messing around picking candies and junk food.  They finally made it to the CMA in Wisconsin and there was nothing important done.   It was just to go play around in the basement and introducing themselves and sing some alternative rock church song.  That's it.

This is just my own opinoin so bash me if you want but sometimes I think those Hmong CMA youth groups excuse themselves to be in there so they can just mess and go out to play.  At the end, they're life is really messed up because they don't even really care much about their parents, family, or do anything to be supportive and helpful in their own church.

You can if you want to. Not in a disrespectful way, but your pastor is saying that cause he doesn't want you to associate yourself with "non-Christian" ways.  But nothing in the bible says u can't. Look at it this eay, u make offerings in church but the bible doesn't say u have to do it.
