His identity has been withheld pending the coroner’s confirmation. Heard he was Hmong.

My condolences to the family and friends.

I just don't understand ppl who go hunt or camping on their own. :-\

Simply for the same reason others pursue their hobbies through passion and the love of the outdoors. I personally hunt by myself over half the time, but always let someone know exactly where I am at all times.

"Its actually his own friend that shot him on accident and thought they can hide it from the cops... after longs hours of investigation. ... the friend finally confessed that he was the one who accidentally shot him"

So he didn't go hunting alone. I think he felt safe having this friend with him there?

this is very sad. he is my grandma(niam tias) half brother. the news was a total shock for us family. don't know what to say. this year is such a terrible year. as of right now the case is being investigate by the police. it is so stupid how the killer mislead the pd, dog unit and family members on the search. thank god, karma brought the killer to the pd hand. rip dab txooj neeb.

The best way to kill a person is to go hunting with him.  Accident can happen when you go hunting.

This doesn't make sense at all. If the shot that killed the man was an accident, wouldn't it be logical to immediately tell the others in the group and seek medical help ASAP? Why would anyone want to hide something like this? Doesn't he know that by trying to hide would put him as the shooter in a deeper hole of suspicion and the motive if found out would be that it was done with intent?

Those that were related to the victim, any new information?

DAB TXOOJ NEEB? yog xeem hmoob dabtsi ne? its unbelievable how the shooter can still shoot a big game on the ground when he/she know that all big games are closed. Even if the shooter might be mistaken this person as one of the big games. If the shooter is out hunting for small games; squirrels, he shoot be shooting up into the tree. Don't tell me he claimed to have encounter a black bear and shot at it, trying to poacher it. or claimed to have seen a mountain black lion so shot at it.

if this was an accident then why run from the scene? why not seek for assistance right away? why misled search and rescues away from the actual location? Hmoob os hmoob aw, rau tus tua na. txawm koj mus nyob nkuaj thiab tsis mus los koj tsis muaj hnub yuav tsis xav txog tias koj mus yos nrog koj ib tug phoojywg es koj muab nws tua pov tseg lawm.
