No. That is a situation I wouldn't want to be in. I'd probably stay away, and since you're saying that you're married too...if your friend thinks this way of you, do you think your husband might think the same? Maybe you're being too friendly? Usually married couples hanging out together don't talk much to each others spouses...as far as I've witnessed.

I always compliment my friends', aunties' and cousins' spouses when it is warranted, simply out of mutual admiration. Nothing wrong with that.

I don't remember that part in the movie. I only remember a lot of crying, a lot of complaints against Chinese men, yet when they came to America they still had Chinese husbands. I wondered if those Chinese husbands were just as bad.
