Well I'm glad to hear that u love dry land just as much as water. It's where we humans belong and ultimately the place we were meant for here on this earth. Not saying water is bad, just that our bodies r designed for land.
And there r instances where humans do impossible tasks in times of danger, things that we would never be able to do if we weren't staring danger straight in the eyes. Like mothers single-handedly pulling flipped cars off of their babies on the side of the road. Or elderly ppl alone in a home who kick the crap outta burglars. Adrenaline could very well make a potential gf/wife climb down a burning building like spiderwoman. U just never know. I like to keep my options open.
well, if you take a look at science you'll see that the first ever life forms emerge from water. through years of evolution humans have learn to adapt to the changes of the environment and to live on land but i know that my heart belongs in the deep blue ocean with her.
as for the woman single handingly picking up a car and other stories like that much of those stories are drawn out. did she pick on a car? yes? but she was a rather big and built woman and it was with both hands and it was only the side. she merely lifted it long enough for someone to pull out the teenage boy.
as for the old man who beat up the burglar. there was actually a story i read on that. the 80 something year old man was an ex professional boxer and still pretty damn fit and prime and he gave the burglar a good old fashion boxing lesson.
the misconception is that a lot of these stories are always retold and everything gets switched around. these acts are more human than many think. that's why it would make more sense to actually jump off a burning building into a swimming pool then to climb down and burn yourself and fall down and die. that's why i would want a woman who is smart enough to have logical reasoning so that she doesn't force me to have to go in and try to save her and then we'll both end up burned and dead.
