the one quality i say is a must and i religiously stand by it is that she must be willing to jump off a building into a swimming pool if the building is on fire.

cause if i'm out of the building and don't want to go in and try to save her when she could had just saved me the trouble and jump.

Great guestion, OP.

I guess a "non-negotiable trait" would be that she must possess a minimal degree of attractiveness to her.
Anything else can can be negotiated later  ;D.

Shallow huh?

What if there's no pool down there for her to jump into? And how will u determine if she's really the type to do that before making her ur gf/wife? That's a tough one, derp. Good luck on finding that girl.

U r an honest person. I bet 93.7% of ppl r thinking that exact same thing but just won't say it. ;D

well, for her to be with me she would have to love the waters and swimming. it's a marine biology thing. and i already found her. remember i told you that. rest her kind soul. she'll always be in my heart.

also women i talk to now after my wife's passing i always tell them right off the bat that for them to be with me that's the one thing on my list. like i tell them right on the first date just to get it out of the way... his way if they can't then we don't even have to have dinner and talk. she can just call for a cab and i can enjoy my dinner in peace and not have all that silly runaround of us trying to get to know one another and waste each others time.

non-smoker...

I do not care if the guy is a *insert male celebrity's name* incarnated, but if he smokes than it's a big NO NO.

Yknow, u can't expect a new lady to be a replica of ur wife, bless her soul. And dry land can be just as beautiful as water. And if a girl can't jump out of a building into water to save her life, maybe she can climb down the building like spiderwoman.

oh! i would never ever ask any woman to try and replace my dearly departed wife. that would just be impossible. she was the one true love of my life. and i love dry land. the endless woods and crisp meadows and breezy air but i know that my heart belongs in the waters where my wife is at peace.

and besides... if the whole building is on fire a person can't just climb down on the side like a spider. the bars and sides would probably be too hot and burn their hands and they would fall. that's why it's best to jump into the swimming pool. it's the perfect getaway.

Well I'm glad to hear that u love dry land just as much as water. It's where we humans belong and ultimately the place we were meant for here on this earth. Not saying water is bad, just that our bodies r designed for land.

And there r instances where humans do impossible tasks in times of danger, things that we would never be able to do if we weren't staring danger straight in the eyes. Like mothers single-handedly pulling flipped cars off of their babies on the side of the road. Or elderly ppl alone in a home who kick the crap outta burglars. Adrenaline could very well make a potential gf/wife climb down a burning building like spiderwoman. U just never know. I like to keep my options open.

well, if you take a look at science you'll see that the first ever life forms emerge from water. through years of evolution humans have learn to adapt to the changes of the environment and to live on land but i know that my heart belongs in the deep blue ocean with her.

as for the woman single handingly picking up a car and other stories like that much of those stories are drawn out. did she pick on a car? yes? but she was a rather big and built woman and it was with both hands and it was only the side. she merely lifted it long enough for someone to pull out the teenage boy.

as for the old man who beat up the burglar. there was actually a story i read on that. the 80 something year old man was an ex professional boxer and still pretty damn fit and prime and he gave the burglar a good old fashion boxing lesson.

the misconception is that a lot of these stories are always retold and everything gets switched around. these acts are more human than many think. that's why it would make more sense to actually jump off a burning building into a swimming pool then to climb down and burn yourself and fall down and die. that's why i would want a woman who is smart enough to have logical reasoning so that she doesn't force me to have to go in and try to save her and then we'll both end up burned and dead.

Ok, derp, u win. I can't keep up w/ writing all theoretically, in this kinda pensive, reflective, and yet phony way. It's just too corny. ;D

Besides, we r waaaaay off topic in this thread... :D

are my ideas corny? i mean, i think because i was brought up in the outbacks and i had to learn to adapt differently to society that my choice of reasoning may differ from others but i like to think that even though our background shapes us all we all  learn in some way or another how to reason and hopefully over time be able to think cognitively... especially in choosing a mate to spend our lives with

Hmm.. let me think, derp... I'm gonna change my choice of wording. No, not corny.

Corny would be if u said the one non-negotiable trait is that she enjoy walks on the beach or somethin like that.... now thats corny. Maybe a better word would be that it's just too... rare? uncommon? extraordinary? In a good way of course, kinda like a one-of-a-kind thing, yknow. ;)

What I'm trying to say is that who ever you find to be ur gf/wife someday will be lucky to have a guy w/ all kinds of great life stories to entertain her. I'm sure that she'll think of that and not wanna risk ur life having u run up the burning building to save her; she'll jump into the pool, even if it's 10 stories below.
