Football player vs UFC fighter. Which is a harder?
« on: January 29, 2012, 09:38:37 PM »
A co-worker and I had a debate at work. He is obviously a football fanatic. I'm neither. He said, becoming a good football player is far harder than becoming a good UFC fighter. I said, UFC fighter is far harder.

What's your thought on this?

My reasons why becoming a good UFC fighter is harder:

-Injuries are guaranteed during any fight
-Training is far harder. Gotta be versatile in many styles to become successful
-You are by yourself in the octagon vs having teammates with football
.
.and many more reasons. just can't think of them right now. I'm not a diehard UFC fan..

To become a good football player (i.e. receiver):

-Run fast
-Good stamina
-Able to glue football to hands

I don't believe you can compare the two sports. You can compare Muay Thai vs Kung Fu. Each have different technics and skills.

Inner peace and true happiness is through meditating

When you are alone, be careful of your thoughts

When you are with friends, be careful of your speech.

The questions should be... "Can a professional football player become a good/great UFC fighter?" or "Can a UFC fighter become a good/great football player?"

These two questions should determine which sport is harder...

Brock got WHOOPED.
 Wrestling got whooped by UFC.
Jame toney got whooped. BOXing vs UFC.
Football--Who's next.

Anyone can beat anyone in their own area of specialty.

Also I think Football will get whoop by RUGBY.  THEY play real Handball.
