how do you compliment others?

over the past weekend i was talking to someone and i told her that her cheeks reminded me of a chubby version of Maggie Chueng, in the 80's, when Maggie Cheung was super hot.

she said... rrgh, thanks? i think.



unfortunately we didn't hit it off.

er, chubby ... you're lucky she didn't slap you.  When complimenting a woman, do not use the words, chubby, fat, chunky, big boned .. you know anything that would indicate she's not slim/skinny. 

Maybe if you had a picture like you do in this thread then it would have made a difference but my guess is that she does not know who Maggie Cheung is.

no. i believe in honesty. i dont feel like i need to sugar coat things and lie. i guess women just arent looking for honest men anymore. oh well. they cant get mad when the jerks they get with lies to them then.

well women who use violence to express themselves should be ashame of themselves. i personally dont believe in violence. and besides... who does not know maggie cheung?

i dunno maybe it was the muppett baby comment i made. i guess some people just dont know a great compliment when they hear one.

You tell them they are smart when they agree with you. That way you are really complimenting yourself but making someone else feel good as well.

I seriously have no clue who this Maggie Cheung is.  That's why I said maybe a picture would have made your comment more of a compliment than an insult.  In the picture you posted, her cheeks are definitely not chubby.

if someone agrees with them i find that they are disturbed. or at least thats what i been told.

well then might i advised you to look her up on imdb and see some of her films. she is stunning. you eont regret it.

You do NEED to sugar coat it. You should of said You have pinchable cheeks. Some people do not take the word "chubby" lightly.  ::)
