FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Wednesday, February 01, 2012 Lao Family community of Minnesota, inc.
Respond to Rally St. Paul, MN, February 01, 2012: A small group of people rally outside Lao Family Community of Minnesota (LFC), Inc. to score political point against LFC’s current Board of Directors and their hiring of a first woman Interim Director. LFC want to reassure its clients, funders, and supporters that the rally did not hinder our services. LFC understands there may be some frustration and confusion over the Board leadership transition. LFC Board of Directors and staffs appreciates the out pouring support from the Hmong American community and stakeholders during this time. The small group of protesters’ allegations against Lao Family Community is completely false and fabricated to manipulate uninformed members of the community. Zong Khang Yang who led the rally has a history of making false statements and does not represent the Hmong American community. In fact, according to LFC annual audit, minutes, court documentations, and General Attorney reviews, LFC have been operating diligently in accordance to its bylaw. “I think we are living in extraordinary times of economic, social, and political crisis, said ChuPheng Lee, Board President of Lao Family Minnesota. “Our immigrant clients, the poor working and middle class Hmong American families are the hardest hit. We are focus and look forward to working with the community and stakeholders to solve these crises together.

Now some so called "leaders" are taking over. I think ChuPheng Lee is too worred.
