Indifference is more potent than any from of abuse, imo.  If I really have to choose one, physical abuse so I can call the    But I also think physical abuse is more damaging because it gets to the victim spiritually and mentally as well.

i think mental abuse is worst, it damages the person mind and he/she will need a lot therapy to heal, whereas as a person can heal much more easily from physical abuse, all they have to do is get away from the abusive person.

Well if I take you literally, then metal hurts alot more. 

In my opinion, both can be just as damaging as the other, and can be correlated in some small cases. You can physically abuse someone and leave mental scars, and you can mentally abuse someone to physically abuse themselves. I'm no psychologist, but just my observation from watching Law and Order.

Mental abuse is far more damaging because there's really no way to catch and punish the abuser so it goes on for years. There's nothing in our legal system that really addresses it unless the abuser was also physically abusive. This is why husbands who are emotionally abused go unreported. Sometimes such husbands don't know how to leave their situation and the outcome is to physically injure the wife.

mental abuse is more harmful and stressful in the long run. Men or women all alike suffer this in a relationship, but most tend to hide this abuse more because they don't want to hurt the other individual by telling other people about it or seeking help. Instead they bottle it all up inside and let it go because it supposedly is called, "tough love"...

Porn stars give it to themselves and it's more than likely that they were already abused before they've gone into this profession or stepped into this type of work.
