Attention: all non citizen (all over the U.S)

I just wanted to share some information with you guys regarding Citizenship. If you or anyone you know are interested in becoming a Citizen, but do not have the Funds to cover the fee you can try to apply for the Fee waiver. I didnt know of such things back  then so I end up paying the fee.  Now that I found out about such program maybe I can help you save some money. If there is any question you are more then welcome to message me for help.


Here is the following website for application and forms:

www.uscis.gov


you will need to complete the following forms to be consider for interview for citizenship:

n-400 (application for citizen)
g-1145 (petition form)
i-912 (fee waiver)

oh really, cus my sis and brother apply for this program and only took them a couple of month to reply back. usually if you give them a good reason as to financial difficulty then it should process faster. some example could be....

still paying for school loan and unable to pay for the fee
lillte hours of work and not enough to cover expense
laid off from work

its much more easier for family who are on welfare/financial assistant to get approved.

good luck everyone, i hope this will encourage more hmong peopl e to apply for citizenship

People, one thing to add to this is, Don't forget to notify the Social Security Administration of your status change once you get your citizenship. INS will also inform you on the day you get swear in, but alot of hmong folk don't follow through. SSA will switch your status from resident/permanent alien to Citizen.

The last time i chk, the fee is $675 for processing and finger print if you do everything your self. It cost more if you hire a professional help. Its really simple to file all the paper work yourself. Go to the first post and it has all the form that you need to sent in. Along with the requirement document, there is also a form for fee waiver so if you qualify you dont have to pay the fee for processing.

hey there! I want to ask a quick question. My sisterinlaw and her hubby is applying for citizenship they will also fill the fee waiver form as well.  so when they mail in their paper do they still have to send along the money with the fee waiver. or just the fee waiver form only. how do this work? please respong ASAP!

I think it only applies to low low income folks.... if you got a job or a bountyful welfare check every month don't count on it.

So, we need to HAVE everything DONE as a whole entire package?
