Yes.. It works.. Not in the 10 minutes timeframe but a little longer.

I haven't bought any scallions yet.  But, I will!

so the other day I tested one green scallion in a mason jar filled with cold water. We let it sit by the window for natural daylight. It's been 4 days and It's growing! I did change the water last night so we'll see how this goes.

If it's successful then we are only cutting off the green parts and letting the white scallion submerge in water so we can have green onions again.

If you have a garden, you can plant it too.. it'll grow.
