Sell your laptops and go get one. Ipad 3 is better.

but if we're speaking about the max power and usage versus portability... an Ipad 3 isn't for us then right?...

Your link did not work so I do not know what the laptops are.

I am looking for one myself so this week MS has some decent deal:

http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/list/parentCategoryID.44066900/categoryID.50787200

Not the best but decent.  I am still keeping my eyes out for a better deal.

Good luck on your own search.

That's not a bad setup.  Just lacks the screen resolution and the video card.  I end up going with this one from amazon

I just added 8GB of ram to make it 14GB total filling up all 4 slots but still need to add the following: hard drive caddy and ssd down the road.  My ssd on my 5 year old quad core desktop loads faster than the laptop for now.  Think about those upgrade on yours also, especially ram, since it's cheap.

i need recommendation s for a new laptop...don't have the time to research them right now...please post a pic including info on the laptops...than ks!!!...oh and pricing as well... O0 O0 O0

LMAO, you are so lazy...  that's okay though because I know my computers.  If you're looking for something small and cute but is of good quality, go with APPLE, TOSHIBA, ASUS, and SONY.  (I'm brand oriented for a good reason and you'll trust me cuz you're too lazy to do the research ;-) .)

If you're looking for something portable, go with the 11" screens to the 14" screens.  They're cute and they are fashionable in those messenger bags (or MAN purse) you see people walking around in.

If you're looking for something more powerful, try carrying a brick laptop that's 15" inches to 17" inches.  Your shoulders will ache and you might get annoyed if you have to walk a distance.  There are different processors and different grades of video cards, wait... what do you plan on doing with your laptop?  Watch porn and surf internet?  Or play games and edit photos?

If you don't like these answers... you need to be more specific.  ^^

I found this for a friend of mine a couple of weeks ago. It was on sale for around $749 and free shipping, which I didn't think was a bad deal at all. It's gone back up to $829.99 though.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230235

Screen size isn't the best, and graphics isn't the best either, but still a great deal for under $800. Don't know about over $800 though.

Edit: It's $780 on Amazon.

nice one...darn, i got mine already though...oh well, happy with it so far...

Don't take it to heart  O0.

Like outsidethebox says, you can change the resolution if you upgrade the screen (use ebay to search for one).  You'll want to pull a tutorial for that one though, that means prying open your laptop and taking out screws.  Try not to lose those small pieces of plastic.

If you don't want to do that, then just attach it to an LCD monitor.  I do it.  Just keep in mind, if your graphics and processing sucks, that might take away from your laptop.

Meaning, it may be noticeably slower or slightly.

In theory, you could change the LCD screen with one that supported a higher resolution. It's really nothing more than replacing the LCD screen. You just have to make sure that it will fit.

well i have it hooked up to my sony bravia flat screen...for some reason the resolution hasn't changed from the laptop...was it supposed to change?...ie, when i go into the graphics settings, shouldn't the resolution there be greater or better than if i don't have the laptop hooked up to the tv?...

How do you have it hooked up? Via HDMI? DVI? VGA? Yes, you should be able to change the resolution to match your TV's abilities. What you might have to do is go into the NVIDIA control panel settings and there should be two displays, one is your built-in LCD, the other being your TV, and some where there you should be able to choose which one will be your main one and then you may have to disable the LCD before you can use the other resolutions. As of right now, I'm sure you're running a mirror setting where both show the same thing, and thus you can not go beyond the LCD's ability. Just make sure to poke around the NVIDIA control panel settings.

that makes complete sense...i'm not running a mirror because my laptop screen is black...my main monitor has been set to the sony tv...let me check those control panel settings... O0 O0 O0
