i've read a couple of her books; house on mango street and women hollering creek. and since i've been traveling i've started on caramelo. EVERYBODY SHOULD READ HER!!!!! there aren't a lot of hmong writers at least not published ones and if you're looking to get perspective on being a child of color, women of color or just being different, she is definitely worth reading. also how can she get anymore amazing when her bio reads, "the daughter of a mexican father and mexican-american mother, and a sister to six brothers, she is nobody's mother and nobody's wife."
