Since PH doesn't have a Science/Technology category....
« on: March 06, 2013, 09:43:40 AM »
I'll post my interest here. I would like to see if anyone would like to contribute to a long term biology project. There are no pays, no materialistic rewards, and no benefits however, as a curious scientist(s); our ultimate reward will be knowledge.

The project will be "artificially" creating a successful/functioning Chloroplast organelle or something that is very similar to it's nature. I know there may be a lot of skeptical thoughts or even negative feedbacks, but have you ever wondered "what if"? Even if we don't get to the stage of creating a successful organelle, we have already contributed information for the next generation(s) to finish what we started. Chloroplast is such a vital organelle, if we can "artificially" create it, there is no limit of what it can do, it can maybe even change the way how we live.

Please let me know by replying on this thread if you are interested in joining me on this project.

Respectfully,
A Scientist

so, what are you trying to do, use sunlight to produce a reducing agent for carbon fixation??

i'm sure there are better ways to do it then to do it the way plants do.

but ultimately, what are you really trying to prove here?  You say there's no limit, no limit to what?
