Use utorent and peerblocker with an anti-virus and if you are using ISO images then a lite ISO like poweriso works well and winrar if you don't have it too...if you get scared of more virus/spyware then get malwarebytes.

Download at your own risk.  If you want further protection get a proxy to hide your real IP

Join a good forum based community, through invites only....... I don't mess with torrent...

i use pirate bay occasionally when i can't find what i'm looking for on KAT
