There are only two cultures that use the last name Xiong: Hmong and Chinese. But the Chinese do not use the first name May. Only Hmong people do.

Her work is very interesting in terms of drug deliverance using a tumourigenic model and liposomes. It seems she has quite a list of publications on Pubmed and currently holds a new RO1 grant from NIH which is VERY difficult to obtain.

Yeah if she's Hmong, she's awesome.  Would love to have her come talk to Hmong high school kids.  We need role models.

I went through all 15k posts and those 2 quotes I found were the only ones so I guess that would make it "everytime".  Feel free to go through all 15k posts and verify by quoting them all.  You need to quote them all to verifying prove "everytime".   Please verify that Im wrong.

Professors don't make a lot of $$ unless they do consulting on the side.

Professors in medical field makes a lot.  $90k for starting up.  They also pay themselves with research money (likely another $20-$30k).  That's already  more than 90% of the population.

I heard that someone was making $160,000 a year couldn't afford to rent a place close to work.  He had to take te train an hour to work everyday.

No debt. As smart as she is. She received a fellowship and grants. Only thing she did own was for her undergrad, but she's also very frugal and paid if off.

Very smart of you. Yes as a prof she doesn't make much, but she does do some consulting work for the mayo clinic in Rochester.
