When we were about to get married and I posted this story up on PH, Steve Thao wanted to air the story on his radio show, so he had Greg and I called in to talk to him about the story.  I was kind of neat.  I think Steve read the story first and then he talked to us about it.

Sorry, but I got too disturbed when a 14 year old boy was checking out a 9 year old girl.

That is gross.

Wasn't this the reason why HOL got shutdown due to 3-ways affairs. LOL

I had intended to move this thread here AFTER lunch anyway, but since Buck messed it up, I moved it half an hour early.

PL, back in those days, and in Hmong... kids of the same age didn't like each other... it was usually older boys and younger girls...

Why is that? How is it possible that kids don't like one another?

Usually, 9 year old Hmong boys are not thinking about girls yet... just toy cars and playing with marbles... but Hmong girls (back then) are beginning to notice boys...

In some ways, the meka girls now a days are adopting that early dating that Hmong girls used to do... but they date kids their own age.  I am keeping my girls innocent.  We talk about it, but they know I won't let them date until they are older.

At that age I've already noticed girls  ;D  Yeah, I can see the Amercian folks doing that. Matter of fact, some of the parents actually incourages that. They believe in dating a lot and not be stuck with one person.
