I get that. But a team got to have a franchise QB to be a contender in this league. NFL is a QB driven league. Got to pay big money to get the best or you’ll be sorry for a long, long time.

The NFL has set the 2021 salary cap at $182.5 million, according to a league memo obtained by Albert Breer of The MMQB.

The 2021 cap represents a significant drop from last year's figure of $198.2 million due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many veterans have been cut in anticipation of the lower figure.

That’s obvious. But that does not warrant or excuse the fact that Carr is just average and hasn’t done much for the Raiders since they’ve extended his contract.
