I've always had this thought that if Teresa Tang and Karen Carpenter both got together in their primes to do a duet we wouldn't have any of this east vs west bs.  The sound from their duet would probably transcend both time and space traveling back to stop Pol Pot's extermination, JFK's assassination, prevent the Holocaust and Japanese internment camps, and the crusades will never have happened.
