Chess database, algorithms stuff. I'm analyzing all the possible moves (many hundreds and millions of positions) and I create books out of it to tell the program to beat the hell out of you.  :2funny:

I need the engine to think really fast. If I lose to a game, I come back and analize where the move went wrong, and correct it, so next time it wont make the same move again. If I overclocked it, it find checkmate quicker. You get the idea. The chess engine effect the processor. Stronger cpu, stronger engine. Benchmark.

You must have a fancy chess engine with parallel processing.  Neat.  My arena chess engine is single threaded so it's useless at using the max potential of my dual core.

Hardware doesn't count that much, your book does. Your cpu only start working after your book end and the computer start to think. If you can build a powerful book you might have a chance.

need to see screen shot info of oc'ed cpu to see settings and verify you actually did it.  A camera of a tower doesn't tell much.
