Why is it so hard to make it big in the music industry? There are so many new and young artists. I just found Maa Vue the other day. How did the oldies get so big???

Our market is too small.

The oldies weren't that big, either.

@Nom Phooj, I'd consider fixing that vocal distortion level down. You don't want  that to be the reason why no one ever listen or buys the track.  You could done what I did. Get some feed back first before releasing it.  Get the feedback on the production and the mix.

Hmong had/has a music industry?  Since when?

Oldies, present-dies, or newbies, Hmong are not artistic period by any figment of the imagination.  (Though nowadays, there are some pioneers, but still at a "snail's pace".)  That said, lip-syncing and by simply putting "Hmong words" to Thai, Lao, Chinese, American, India etc. etc. etc. music "IS NOT", repeat, "IS NOT" a music industry.  The US Court/Legal System actually refers to that as "PIRACY".

IMHO, the only active and genuine "Hmong music industry" is arguably "kwv txhiaj" plus "qeej, nruas, raj, ncas, and zaj tshoob/ntees".  Western types are more or less at its "infancy".
