What about them shads? LOL, technically end up snagging them mostly instead of catching them. I think I've only caught like two or three shads with hook in the mouths in my lifetime. When those shads run, the cats come in for easy feasting on the dead and dying ones. I haven't caught any sheepshead in the power plant spillway. Caught sunnies and crappies here and there as well. An occasional Northern Pike.
I've caught so many sheepshead that I had thought those are the only fish there. lolI could see pikes coming there. Sunnies? Yeah. But crappies? Hm...Huge ones, huh?
Well I've only caught little ones, not worth keeping in that warm water discharge.
I don't remember keeping any fish from there, just because the plant at that lighthouse makes it so unclean.I've taken fish from the draw bridge farther up though. Cats, white bass, and even sheepshead. Lots of people fishing for sturgeons there some years ago.
Were you at the power plant?
