I think this fitzgerald guy is on to something..
so when you finally get your book published I'll be first in line for your autograph
no matter how far I am

Tying to think of some quote I can say in return but my heart's filled to the brim with love so all I have is this:

There's been a rash of burglaries around our area lately so henceforth I'm no longer allowed to stay alone late after work like I used to. I guess that's better for my social life. More alone time with the pillow.

Ermahgawd... That sounded so sad. But comfy.  :D

Awww. Right back at ya! I'm also watching Z: The Beginning of Everything because, apparently, I can't get enough of that dapper couple (and since I'm a "college student" now I get 6 months of amazon prime free.. haha)

Speaking of pillows... have you tried sleeping with a pillow between your legs? I've tried it sporadically but I hear it's good for spinal alignment..?

You walked in with a baby in your arms and talked to me like everything was so normal but I couldn't stop staring at the little girl with the big brown eyes, and even though I smiled back, my head was whirling. When you left I had to sit down and wipe my wet eyes and wonder why I'm left reeling. I don't love you anymore, and I would never begrudge you the happiness you have found, but now I'm left wondering why I suddenly have an ache in my throat, why my arms feel so empty.

Took the kids trick or treating yesterday and got mistaken for a trick or treater. I was standing on the sidewalk watching the kids get some candy from an old lady. Suddenly she looks up in my direction and says, "Oh no, there's one more!" Confused, I turned around to look behind me but no one was there, and then I realized she meant me. She must have seen my confusion and realized that I'm not a kid, because she just turned around and went back inside. It was pretty funny. Maybe I could've gone trick or treating anyway and gotten some free candy.

It's snowing but the sun is shining... My natural instincts are confused on all levels.

Would it be mean of me to refuse? Ah fudge it, it's not like I care anyway.

No thank you.

"But soon we shall die and all memory of those five will have left the earth, and we ourselves shall be loved for a while and forgotten. But the love will have been enough; all those impulses of love return to the love that made them. Even memory is not necessary for love. There is a land of the living and a land of the dead and the bridge is love, the only survival, the only meaning.

-Thornton Wilder, The Bridge of San Luis Rey

I've been at work since 8 this morning.... So ready to go home. My brain is exhausted. My body too. I can't even make sense enough to write complex sentences. So the other day my nyab said to me, Did your niece ask you to play Settlers of Catan with them? I said, Yeah I played with them, why? She said, Well because when I talked to her, I asked if she was gonna invite you to play and she said, I dunno because Phauj gets really intense with that game.

LOL yes I do, can't help it. I once disowned my cousin for backing out on a deal with me, and my family knows that when I get that crazy look in my eyes, they'd better watch out! It was funny that my niece said that about me.

Hah.. that's adorable! I remembered when I used to play card games with my brother when he was younger (speed, uno, whatever..) he would get so frustrated cus I always win. He'd say, "you should let me win cus I'm a kid" and I'll retort "that doesn't mean anything. get on with it." Now, that kid is taller than me  :D

but speaking of competitivenes s, when I went on that trip I told you about we found a game of battleship and well.. we had to call in a ref to arbitrate because sinking ships did not sunk..
