Not bad except these things consume 150 - 250 watts of power without drives and in idling mode. Add 8 drives and it can consume 250 - 350 watts, which is a little too much for 24/7/365 home use.

I agree with you on a little too much for home use. I usually have it on when I'm trying to push out updates through WSUS server. Currently, I am trying to install SCCM 2012 R2 on the server but there is a section where I can't get pass the installation that checks for ports. I'm thinking about trying to find a way to install WDS and configure it to install Windows 10 images. If I can find a way to have Windows 10 images on this WDS server, I will be a very useful person at my work.

Very nice.  What's the specs?  I have a Dell PowerEdge R710 with 8-Core 32GB and 700TB disk space. I use it to run ESXi and VMware workstation for labs.

Yeah, its has 2 Xeon E3 processor(Not sure) I haven't really checked into the specs. Now that I think about it, it cost too much to leave this bad boy on for long. I'm willing to sell it for $250 if anyone wants it.
