Loneliness Robs Me Of My Sleep
« on: April 24, 2016, 05:22:20 AM »
The once so happy memories
Comes back and haunt me
Flashbacks emerge as nightmares
Replaying the old times that we shared
As loneliness robs me of my sleep
In the endless night filled with unheard weeps
I've embarked my sorrow into tears
Like the raging waves in the ocean
I cannot hold back my emotions

Nicely written and thanks for sharing.

Not sure if this emotion is current, but a lot of us  has been down that road. And writing does help release those emotions and something good and positive will follow.

Welcome to PH Kvang, hope you enjoy your stay. Thank you for your poem.

Dear pillow, I ask of thee
Take away my distress and mind full of debris
End my day with slumber and rest
For tomorrow is a new test

Expressing emotions will keep your mind free of endless debris and unhinge your stress. Sharing your thoughts is a calming way of releasing tension. Don't worry about tomorrow when today has not ended.

Thank you, you are ProudLao? I remember that avatar lol

These emotions aren't current but like a scar, it may heal, you may not see or feel it anymore, it will still be there. Maybe years from now I can come back and read my poems and laugh about how corny and depressed I was.

It's more like welcome back, I joined in 2012. I only joined because of the Ghost Stories and Poetic Souls thread. But thank you for reading it :D. Nice short poem there though. You can't worry about tommorow if you're still living in your past.

Yes, I'm PL.  ;D

I know what you mean. I used to write a lot more dark poems as well. Time will mend and I'm sure you have heard that life does go on.

Welcome back then :) hopefully you stay and keep us company.

"The past is a good place to visit but not a good place to stay"
"We live for the present, dream for tomorrow, and learn from yesterday"

Our life is what we put forth and how we proceed forward. Looking back at our past is but a distant memory. Healing is a timely process and memories are but faint flicker of what we once were.
