Equality
« on: May 31, 2017, 12:53:05 PM »
Laws and regulations aren't equal between genders.  For example: If a woman reports a man for rape and sexual assault, the man will likely be charge with rape and sexual.  When the table flips around, if a man reports a woman for rape and sexually assault, the woman will likely be free of charge for rape and free of sexual abuse.  Odds are the man will end up getting whoop and there's not much he can do about it.  He'll easily be handcuff if she reported him.

Practice vs Principle.

Besides, you provide only one example.

One very specific example.

So..You choose to talk about equality and in your example, you choose to focus on how women are treated better than men.

It always makes me laugh when people (mostly men) say stuff like that.

"Women have it easier."
"The law always takes the woman's side."
etc.

If you want to talk gender inequality.
There are so many inequalities  todaythat are against women whether it has to do with education, corporation, the "glass ceiling," pay scale, and more.
Or if we want to go in the past, voting rights, right to work, etc.

But beyond all that.
There's one thing that anyone can bring up and it'll beat any example that you have that says women have it easier.

The 2016 U.S. Presidential Election.

You have a woman who served as a secretary of state, U.S. Senator, graduated from Yale.

vs

Some loudmouth sexist, , discriminatory, anger inducing, non-diplomatic guy who is just rich. he's made sexist comments about women, about LGBTQ, about hispanics.

And she still loses. You have it where a woman can be the most qualified person with experience and education and still lose to some discriminatory loudmouth orange monkey with no experience or education.

If there's a real and legitimate example that beats this and shows women has it easier. Not cherry picked scenarios.
Do educate me and let me know cause I surely want to know that one.

You know how PH is, 1 example constitutes All or Every.

That's like how a white guy says how hard he has it and how minorities are getting all the benefits. HA!

Let me leave this thought:

Liberty trumps equality.

Those who fight for equality before they fight for liberty will get neither liberty nor equality.
