I think fair wage should be whatever you and the person working for you agree on.  I don't really believe in minimum wages unless you're planning on hiring children.  I think if you hire children or someone we deemed unable to make an adult decision, then yes, we should have a minimum wage for them.  Otherwise, if they are capable adults and agree to work for less, we should let them because it might be the only way they'll get the job.

Spoken like a GOP and not like a Dems/Libs that wants to spread the wealth.

Merit based pay.

But let's all agree we need to set a baseline for wages with inflation factored in. Let's use the same algorithm from the Cost of Living over the past 50-ish years and apply that to set a baseline for where the current avg wages SHOULD be.
