Is the word Oriental offensive?

Like a derogatory word?

Because I just found out today that it's is now an offensive word and should not be said.

I went through all 15k posts and those 2 quotes I found were the only ones so I guess that would make it "everytime".  Feel free to go through all 15k posts and verify by quoting them all.  You need to quote them all to verifying prove "everytime".   Please verify that Im wrong.

In the old days, the orient was a place with exotic and passive women that was the desire of white men.  A place where a white man can go and fulfill his every fantasy.  Oh wait, that's still going on today. lol.

it was never really offensive to me maybe because people around me never used it they would rather say chinks or gooks

Oriental refers to the Chinese. We not Chinese like how y'all Somalian in the Midwest are not faze by the n word.

Any word can be offensive... have you not been reading liberal media lately?

A kid was in trouble at his school for saying that brownies are "brown", cotton stalks on displayed at Hobby Lobby is racism, practicing yoga is consider racism if you're not brown/black, etc. etc.
