Planning to test my Taco 4x4 a bit in the wilderness but since we have a baby, I plan to get either a bed tent or soft top....Hmmm... ???

bed tent, much cheaper at around $150-400 but gotta take it down before driving so can be a hassle pitching it and taking it down over and over again..:

soft top, cost more ...around $700-1000 but can just be left on the bed like a hard shell so less hassle and much more durable:

Leaning toward the soft top at the moment...

Soft will be way better. It'll give you height and feel a lot more roomy. the hard shell will feel like you are sleeping in a coffin.

The soft top may cost more but it's better. Why not just rent a van?

You mean the bed tent is "better" and gives you more "height"?

a "hard shell" is not being considered...O nly a bed tent and soft shell...
