they have plenty of smelts at our local all you can eat buffet restaurants

and grocers... the last time i was in sac... my bil and i went to 99 ranch market where he bought a couple of spoon full of deep-fried battered smelt... yummy...

I think they are coming to our side now, because of our nicer weather. I don't know if they're going back when your weather turns nice. lol

Okay. I'll remember not to pack you smelts but crappies if you ever come back to the Midwest again.

I prefer deep fried crappies over smelts...it remind me of eels and eels remind me of snake
