Does hardship make a person stronger? If so, under what conditions and at what point is it too much hardship?

when hardship drives a person to suicide, there is no way back.  however, if they can over come it, everything is a piece of cake.

I believe that people will strive and improve themselves when hardship hits them at their worst. Its like that saying, it doesn't change you if it doesn't challenge you O0

I could say it depends too.  But from my experience for me and others that I've seen.  It tends to be good, positive.
