Haven't been to Old Sac in a while so swung by to check it out and also checked the kids health fair at the Golden 1 Center... O0...

Old Sacramento:

A real steam locomotive:

Out of the street performers, this guy did the best in terms of tips, you can tell people have hired him as he was really good with the kids:

Canadian geese family on the dock, very friendly and not camera shy at all:

Elephant seals by the river near the Tower Bridge:

Cross under I-5 through a tunnel to the Golden 1 Center for Kids Health Fair since we have a kid of our own now:

I'm quite sad that I didn't get to visit old sac and the delta. That part of the city seems very nice. Instead we went to the casino :P

Jackson, thunder or Colusa?

Parkwest Casino Lotus. This one was quiet small with only about 15-20 tables. They had a small diner area. I was told that it has just been remodeled so it was decent looking. I got in late so I ate the steak and eggs, hashbrowns. It was pretty good. Have you've been?

I see you went to a small card house casino, not a full flesh casino...

On Stockton Blvd.  Card room with no slut machine.  On some nights, college looking students can be seen winning or blowing away 10 grand or a rack worth of chips.  I have seen it myself.  Where the hell they get all them money?  Rich Dad in oversea don't know what their kids be doing.

at first I was like huh? dunno where the hek that is? after googling, yes like duma said it's on Stockton blvd...not a gambler so no I have not been there before

u should've went to Pho Anh Dao it's nearby on that same boulevard...I love their white chicken meat pho there...and it's the only chicken pho i'll eat in town...tried many others and none taste like Anh Dao...but u said u got in late so it would have been closed already ....or Pho Xe Lua nearby is good as well.

I went to Pho Ru. It was also small but pretty good. You can order it with the beef rib in the broth. My people also told me to order a side of egg noodles on the side, which I thought was kinda weird. It didn't taste right with the pho broth but I was stuff :P  We went next door to this Flip bakery store and bought some bakery. It was good but I couldn't taste anything due to being so stuff. They wanted me to come back into town soon so they can take me out to this bar/club/restaurant with happy hours....I'm thinking to myself, No ;D
Next time I'm in town I'm taking you, duma, or the king as my tour guide of Sac. No more drinking, blowing money, staying up late with over-intoxicated girls.  I just want to be a normal person doing normal things ;D :D

Maryjane $?

I know a lot of people but I chose not to get involved.  One guy makes 30k on a run.  After he gets payed, blows it all at a card room.  Why card room and not bigger Indian casino?  The smaller clubs don't face recognition you with a warrant like the big boys do.

I also know a childhood friend of mine who won 200k in one night of gambling.   The first hour, he took home 77k with 10k still at the table to hold.  By early morning, 200k more.  He had so much chips that he builds a wall with it and hides behind it.  You would thought the guy was playing poker but each chips are 100 bux each.

Check this out.  The guy was unemployed and the money was loaned to him by a loan shark.  He didn't quit that night.  The house or corporation ran out of money for the day and told him to leave.  By the following week, he lost it all with nothing to show for.

I saw dude last month at Green Papaya restaurant in Stockton as he was cooking up my pad Thai.

To make the story even more interesting, his sister used to work at that casino.  One night, she clocked out from work and played poker.  She dropped dead from a brain aneurysm.

Because of gambling, he's divorced.

There is always a story to be told by most gamblers out there.  I know plenty of them.  From guy losing it all to set himself on fire at his local park to Casino dealers giving up booty as they borrowed money but can't pay back the interest.  I also know a pit boss who was a meth user that one day he went into the cage and took all their money and ran.  He got away but did ran back and apologized to the big boss owner in order to get them charges dropped and not having to pay back a dime.  He also told me stories about them women gamblers whom he called sick fawks as they ring his door bell on any given weekend to pay off a debt by selling their bodies.   Azn women are his sick fawks.

I even know a security guard who taught me how to get free booty.  Sick bitaches will leave depressed but for $20 to get her money back, she down for anything.  He drives a old minivan with no back seat.

So many stories that I'm sick to my stomach knowing about it.

I have heard of such stories but who am I to judge, or wouldn't judge anyone. I never know, I might be that next person :-[

@ duma...daaang dude, u been around the homie block...anyhow do u know if Angel Cruz park still exist and when the Cambodians are usually there? I've been meaning to check it out for once and how is the food at Green Papaya? the food truck one is ok, padthai and other food suck but I like their papaya....

The truck and store same thing.  Prices same but sanitation is cleaner.  It is in the plaza across from Costco.

Don't know much about Cruz park.  I grew up playing basketball football and baseball there.  There is another park downtown where the Hmong sells.  It is between 8 street and the next exit over called Downy drive.  Big park by i5 you can't miss it.  Safer feeling than cambo angel Cruz.

Tell your girls I'm going to mango tonight.  First time there Thursday for the Hmong.  After my cuz leaves, I'm back to my strict schedule with no homie to go clubbing with.  I kicked it with the married crew now.  Putting myself into that position as I need to learn how to settle down myself.

Just got back and I do must say them kids are a tad young.  I did see someone that I thought it was you.  Same body structure and facial.  I kept on looking at her in thinking it was you.  Perhaps it was your people.

No drama tonight although my cousin got kicked out by midnight.  His offense? He did absolutely nothing but sit in one place by the fire thingy and they thought it was odd like dude on drugs or something.  I no mind cuz I wanted to go home anyways.  We went to free homo faces there after.  Nothing was jumping no wonder it's free.

Time for bed.  Need to head to the bay for wk in less than 4 hours yikes.
