The previous owner broke a couple bolts on the Taco, not sure what he was trying to do. I tried to drill it out with Kobalt tip drill bits but it wasn't too effective so I picked up some Carbide tip bits and it finally broke through. Drilling out hardened steel is a PITA but glad I found the bits capable of doing it....
The bit I used got pretty hot though:

Those are hammer drill bits. I’ve never seen them use on steel but cement or things of that nature. Good job though.
