@ age 18, i was living on my own right out of high school... i then lived with my older brother for two years until i finished college, got a job, and bought a house... all before the age of 25... my mom has been living with me since then...

I think in my mid 20s...

when I was 17 fresh out of highschool, my 1st cousin and I was looking for apartments already planning to move out. Then our parents goes - how are u going to eat, sleep, live and survive? doubted our situation and so we both chickened out and figured we didn't want to prove them right..lol we went on to college and worked our a55 off, thankful for our parent's roof and support...

my parents realized that I could fly after i moved out and they set me free and ever since then i have not lived w/ any parents...love my nlaws w/ all my heart, mind and soul but i don't think i could live w/ them yet...i wouldn't be able to freely travel like i do right now...my life would be work, eat, sleep, poop and church and I will have to be the obedient traditional hmong wife that I'm really not...lol!
