Is your advice taking into account the Federal Reserve policy on quantitative easing (QE) changing to quantitative tightening (QT)?  So what is your thoughts on QE to QT and how it will impact wallstreet and mainstreet?  I would suggest before giving such a huge recommendation to buy the market for you to take deeper analysis into how QT is going to change the stock market.  All the research I've read says that QT will cause some balancing to Bonds and Mainstreet.  This means the stock market in the near term is OK but in 2-3 years, QT may cause a flat market.  If the market is flat in 2-3 years don't you think it's taking unneeded risk without the reward factor to balance?

Hey wisemon

The ROTH Ira is just another type of retirement account
It is great cuz all the gains are tax free
Where a taxable brokerage account
You can get hit with a 25% capital gain tax
Whenever you sell/trade stocks and etc....

In a Roth IRA you can do anything you want just like a taxable account
There’s a annual cap of $5.5k.  And income limit
Can’t be making six plus figure

Great for poor people making less than $100k

You can invest in whatever you want
But I recommend a low cost index fund that mimics the S&P 500
In the long run you looking at average 10%ish annually

Don’t buy bond, if you are still young
When you can be getting a 10%ish average in the long run

i think it's good if you absolutely can afford 5k annually with a mediocre income and can tolerate minimal living and that you know for sure you'll live to see the returns 40-50 years from now and actually get to enjoy some of it before you get draft to war in the heavens..hahah a

Everyone need to be maxing their Roth $5,500 annually
Really try
This probably mean, no more cable tv and Netflix
Just straight up YouTube. Or crackle etc....

You will thank me later

The market only goes up
Sure it might drop back to earth
But it will recover and skyrocket to the moon

If we invest in the S&p 500 s long time ago
We will be filthy rich
Multi millionaire

You sound like me when I was 25 years old eating up all the marketing literature about how awesome the market will always be.  I'm glad you are growing...disc ipline is the key to that strategy and some luck that the macro don't change too much.
