the story of the hmong people is a sad...
tragic one...
with a Cinderella ending


I'm not going go into farther detail
but I will tell you what I learn from talking to my parents over the years.

This is when my parent were in the camp. They lost a lot of family and friends.
"DO NOT GO TO THE USA" They would say
This year, I heard the giant in the USA are eating people more than usually.
They will feed you to the giant once you land.

So, how did your parents convince themselves to finally come over?

my mom say
in the camp
there was rumor going on about "giant" in america
eating people

they came because their family and friend
pretty much all die during the war
got nothing left to lose

I thought you said, you were there...???

wasn't that long ago


when

me, reporter, theking, proudlao, duma
were waiting for our rice and tuna ration from the UN
we went to the airplane as they were handing out food
ration were base on your family sizes
we we were lock in the fences and couldn't go nowhere


we were soo poor back than
but we always have each other back
our hair remain uncut for months
i don't even have any shoes or flipper

what a great cinderella story to tell our future kids
