I have not watched the news to stay up to date on any events.  I'm going on a no tv news diet for a while like I don't care what is going on around me.  So far so good as it helps me to focus on how slow or fast this thing called a clock is.

In a letter to the president of Thailand's FA, FIFA president Gianni Infantino invited the 12 young Thai boys and their soccer coach currently trapped in a flooded cave to the World Cup final, circumstances permitting.

Those circumstances hinge primarily on whether they will be freed before the final on July 15.

Six hours of diving against the current to reach the group.  Five hours of diving with the current to get back out.  Not good!  That coach must be out of his mind taking these boys down that path in this type of season.

This is a stupid proposition.  This is a sales tactics as you put a time limit to get people to buy on a sense of urgency.  We are talking about people lives at stake here.

Shame that fa.ggot.

Latest news, the last of the boys and their coach are out of the cave/rescued.  What an ordeal!  Now I and the rest of the world can breathe a sign of relief.

My heart is OK now.

I read an article on the coach and it's very sad.

His mom passed away when he was very young, his dad passed away when he was 10 and his only sibling brother also passed away at a young age. Like many orphaned kids in Asia, he became a monk and spend the next decade in a monastery.

Oh I read about that too.  Sad indeed and in spite of the losses in his life, he became a positive force in his community, make something of himself, loves his players, etc.. (from my reading).  Some people were thinking of charging him for endangering the players but I think he's a hero.  He kept those kids alive for so long before being found and it was an unfortunate event.  It was a sunny clear day who knew it would rain so hard to trap them inside.

I hope people would forgive him, the coach, and applaud him for his bravery instead.
