State media in Laos says several people are dead and hundreds missing after a dam wall collapsed in the country's south, sending millions of tons of water into surrounding villages

Over 6600 are now homeless

The Chinese built that wall. The Japanese built the bridges instead.

Should have been built by Japanese or Australians.

I saw that on the news and I was thinking the wall is pretty low for that amount of water especially in a country w/ monsoon season.  It's tragic watching pictures of drowned bodies and people up on roofs/ tree tops.
