Yes it is THE PCH "1"...I've explored the east coast (Maine to Florida) and the gulf
(Florida to Texas) and nothing beats the west coast in the lower 48 in terms of awesome views, great temps, etc., when I do an overall ranking ..

I'm more interested in what lurking in the surf.

I've been ocean fishing every Thursday so far n I've caught me some critters that calls the surf their home.  You can't see them.  You have to explore to see them.  I found a spot that has yellow looking giant clams in the surf.   Caught a few by digging for sand crab for bait.  I've digged all over the bay and this spot has them only.  I might be up to something here.  Was gonna make sushi out of them but the toxin scare I just don't know.  I didn't eat the previous batch but my family did.  I'll try them next time.   This place has dolphins n haven't seen a whale yet.
