If money can buy anything I would definitely buy a moment in time and spend a day with a cute Japanese girl wearing overalls and keds shoes ;D

I don't remember much of the 80s or 90s at all...was still a kid growing ...i do however miss the debt free days of not having any bills, but do not miss the being broke and having no $ and no honey  :P

Didn't you just turned 45 y.o. recently??  ???

You're not alone. I think every Hmong kid grew up poor in the 80s and 90s :P   I'm just curious, are you the oldest of all your siblings?

I was fortunate enough to be the middle child and the worst :D  I got to experienced a lot of the things that my older siblings did but young enough to be innocent at heart.

One thing that I wish was still around is all the cartoon shows on the local channels. I grew up watching that stuff every morning and everyday after school up until I was about 8th grade :'(

the 80'$...i was a very young buck back then and had the biggest crush on a hmong girl looking exactly like Tamlyn Tomita (the girl in the movie).
it was the beginning of times when most were beginning to become nyuam laib.  I ua laib tsis tsheej thiaj ua tsis nws!  her name was maria yang and this song always reminded me of her:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Blud51Ztsws

was at big 5 sporting goods for no apparent reason, just happen to be in the shopping center to meet up with a craigslist client and with some time to kill and not remembering the last time I stepped into one i thought, hmm let me check it out....saw a pair of shoe that caught my eyes..but then I was like...wtf? L.A Gear??? they still around?? lols I google up l.a gear and as a kid I only remmeber bits and peices of why it was so popular for a time back then, and was curious to why it died down....and this was probably the reason...lols

I only miss the movies back then...when good movies would actually come on the local channels..ha ha

I never like going to Big 5 unless I can’t find it at Target or Walmart. Big 5 is the only store I still see LA Gear shoes. I do remember those shoes. They have a lot of shoes most kids will not want these day.

I wasn't able to drive yet then. But I remember lower gas prices that were under $1.00 per gallon.

Big 5 and LA gears was huge back then. Too bad big 5 is only based on the west coast because every time I'm out there I always wanted to go in and see how much it has changed :P
