Hmong people must love to gamble..

There's not alot of Hmong people in the US compared to other racial groups, but so far we've had 1 Hmong WSOP winner and 1 Powerball Winner.

someone once told me that gambling and drugs is only a problem if you can't afford it...sadly I'm broke and can't afford to do either

Gambling is for the poor.  Trying to come up to buy toys or a penny short of rent. 

Then there are those who gamble just to test out a gambling fallacy or just want to beat the house. 

I've seen a lot of faces in my days.  One guy is a local surgeon but only goes to the gambling hall cuz dude got issues.  He bets $5 a hand so making money is not his forte.  Drinks and gamble cuz dude got no friends.  Getting drunk just to call his wife to pick his azz up.  She too isn't so happy and often cries.  She's an MD herself. 

One guy is like a Robinhood.  When he wins, he would goes around and tip all of his winnings away.  From the pit boss to the dealers to the waitress to the security crew. 

Issues I tell you.  It is hard to label and group them all.

It's the excitement of not knowing if you gonna win or not. It's about the thrill of the "what if" that makes it so exciting when you play and you do win big. Sadly, most people gamble cuz they think it's a quick way to get rich. The odds are never in your favor. However, I have family members who always win something at the casino. Unfortunately, I'm not as lucky, my luck must be else where lol.
