Not sure about the ladies of PH but when I worked in the chili pepper field as a kid, this is by far the scariest insect based on the screams I've heard coming from those Hmong women I picked chili along side with..  :

I was hoping more ladies would reply so I can snag them all in this joke.

A few years ago I took a young lady in her early 20’s, who I was romantically involved with, to visit some of my relatives. While we were at the relatives house a spider crawled by causing her to scream loudly, likely holding nothing back, letting it all out, just exactly like those old silent movies with the over exaggerated gestures. She even did the flash dance “she’s a maniac”, you know the fast paced on the spot running. Pause and take the time to picture it.

An older female relative of mine found the young lady’s reaction to be quite funny yet ridiculous. So she said to the young lady, “ why are you afraid of a little spider when you aren’t even afraid of a big red leech (tus peeb liab)?”

I’m not afraid of them, but I certainly don’t like them.

I'll eat them.  The reason why we haven't found a cure to some illness out there is because of the taboo factor. 

If eat chit to cure aids, would you do it?

I think them critters have the answers for us.  I think this world has all she has to harm and cure us.  It just that we haven't found the recipe yet.  In due time that is.
