i like to add one more to that list

9.   travel less vacation outta state/country, limit to maybe once a year.  flying, jet fuel, hotel, services, etc...
all those are really bad for the environment

That's like saying,  don't shower every night.

A more effective way of doing it without sacrificing your vacation is simply be more efficient .instead of driving through a couple states, just fly instead, that way you're not using any fuel. Instead of staying at friends or relatives, rent a hotel room, that way you use less energy from the friends and family's house.

Also like add: less faking sick to drive to a fishing spot and over fished then make the big freezers in the garage do all the work afterwards...s toring it...That's a lot of unnecessary energy consumption right there.. ;D ;)

Many climate advocates are exactly like that.  Climate change only matters when you vote at the booth and have to take a political stance.  Besides that, most climate advocates are not willing to have a RADICAL CHANGE in their HABITS or LIFESTYLE to be CONSISTENT with their BELIEF.  Like many Christians, many Climate advocates are mostly hypocrites.  Like most Christians, Climate advocate is really about belonging and almost always about convenience.

I’m not saying don’t take shower
But “limit”

Something like every other day, maybe one minute shower

It might actually be cheaper and eco friendly if you drive
Especially if you have a hybrid or electric cars

A plane like a Boeing 747 uses approximately 1 gallon of fuel (about 4 liters) every second. Over the course of a 10-hour flight, it might burn 36,000 gallons (150,000 liters). According to Boeing's Web site, the 747 burns approximately 5 gallons of fuel per mile (12 liters per kilometer

Aka less than one hours

Up to you

Oil/gas/fuel etc... ain’t renewable
Just a matter of time till it run out
Might not be our life time
But it will

You're wrong about that.

It doesn't matter if you're driving a regular or hybrid car, you're still using more fuel than flying.  If you choose to fly, you're using zero amount of fuel. How is this possible? Simple, it's not about calculating how much fuel a car use vs an airplane. There's no math involved, just simple logic. All those numbers that you pulled from Boeing's website is irrelevant.

When you drive, YOU are using fuel. When you fly, the airline company is using the fuel. And regardless if you are on the plane or not, it's going to fly somewhere. So basically what you're doing is hitching on a free ride (in regards to you actually using the fuel yourself).

I’m not saying don’t take shower

That's not what you first said.

i think you are being kinda of ignorant
this is just about making changes in your lifestyles

don't mean give up taking a shower every night
but.....maybe
a quick 2-3 minutes shower

washing the important part of the body

Shower = vacation
Shower every night = vacation 3 times a year
So .....
Don't go on vacation 3 times a year = don't take a shower every night

But, let's do what you said and limit the shower time to 2-3 minutes, results in you using less water. So flying 2-3 hrs instead of driving several times longer, results in you using less fuel.

So it comes down to, don't go fishing at your favorite spot, instead just go fishing in your back yard.

You do realize that people take showers for a particular reason. Same as people take vacation for a particular reason.

Our PH members: reporter wants me to go fish in North Dakota
I told him we got plenty of fish here in Wisconsin
Yes in your backyard/local area

If you treat your land and water right
It will provide all you need
The native Americans know this

This mean keeping a balance check of fish
You might have to take out the populated fish so others may live

For the shower.
Maybe 2-3 minutes
I personally do 1.5 min
Smell great, got all the important thing wash
Look clean

I know you mentioned about driving less on one of your post, and I said if you want to make a difference eat less meat. Or cut it out of your diet completely. It doesn’t matter how little you drive, a person eating meat cause more damage. I help my mom with gardening, there’s plenty of organic fruits and veggies in her garden for the family. I cut out all meat and dairy product from my diet, I’m a minimalist, only buy things I need. I’m guilty of taking too many showers and traveling. But again, you want to make a difference? Stop eating meat. Here’s a little clip of the article for you to read:

Yes, driving cars is no good, but meat production is unexpectedly worse for the environment. Besides all of the fertilizer and cow waste products that release methane, meat unfortunately has to be transported in refrigerated trucks from feedlots to slaughterhouse s to processing centers to your local grocery store. In this way, factory farming combines all of the harmful effects of driving an 18 wheeler, plus some.

yes, you are right on the meat part
not sure if you saw my previous post
but my diet consist of mostly fish and deer
stuff you find naturally in the world
by taking good care of our environment

white bass are consider a pest fish here
lots of them here
it complete and kill many of the other fish, so i only target this species

staying true to my belief, i only shore fish
you can catch alot of them

letter spell Ph=pebhmong
so you know im legit

fish smell PH=pebhmong
so you know im legit

i got a garden that i do in the summer time here
kinda of hard with the snow

look at all these foods, man
i even forgot to check, some of them start going bad

delicious, nothing like fresh tomatoes

too much, talking
let's start doing

Maybe you can afford to be a climate changer but poor folks can't.

Sounds like those that admitted they are "flat broke" alright... ;D ;D ;D
