Anyone from FL or NC?

I was planning to retire to these states but heard there's lots of snakes... and sometimes you find them crawling into your living space/property.  Is that true?

I'm not from there but do take trips down there.  And I would say, depends what part of FL or NC you want to retire.

Who the hell wants to move to NC or FL?

Nc is kaydoo infestation

Fl, look into Tallahassee.  Heard the hurricane tends to miss it and housing is dirt cheap and nothing there for people to steal from a bunch of retired old farts so crimes like that are on a decline?

It is under Georgia for those that don't know but reaps the FL Republican low tax incentives.  No sales tax I think I heard.

...depends what part of FL or NC...

Best answer because it does "depends" on what part...For example, the Dragon's Tail area is very different than say the Charlotte area of "NC"...when I was there...

No, but have traveled a few times all over Fl. Luckily I didn't see snakes, but I saw a ton of lizards up north/central in Fl.

lately I've been noticing a lot of Oregon and northern license plates in my area. I guess the country is on a great migration. I have been in the south for 20+ plus years and ready for a change. Maybe I should move to Oregon or a northern state.

Oregon is beautiful! Love Seattle too! Austin or Seattle would be the two places I wouldn't mind moving to.

I have heard nothing but great things about these cities O0
