Hiking through and between the plates was exciting but we were also thinking, what if there's an earthquake RIGHT NOW!!!  :

That valley (from Banning to Coachella ) should be a good area for Fancee since she likes warm weather.  Plus, land is cheaper than average there for California. I saw signs listing lots for around 4k in that area...
