i don't expect anything in return, not even a thank you...when i do something nice for someone...i might just get offended if I hear a "thanks" or a "i'll get you back man"...cuz that makes me feel like I'm expecting something in return or that I'm really doing it to make myself feel goood...haha know mean...truly am a humble person...i am...lols

true friends don't need to say thanks...just need to know they do the same, and they'll take a bullet for you if have to...haha i guess that's why we all only have one true friend...and sometimes that's our shadow...haha

I would have to disagree with you. The true friend is you and how you treat the other person. From what you said, I wouldn't call you a true friend towards them, nor are you humble as you claimed.

What I consider a true friend is this......
A humble and true friend, when doing something nice for someone don't expect anything in return, not even a thank you. When hearing a "thanks" or a "I'll get you back man", a true friend accepts their gratitude. A true friend don't have to say "thanks" or "sorry", but knows how and when to say it. A true friend won't put the other in a situation where they would have to choose or go beyond their limits. And last, a true friend accept the other for who they are and not expect them to be someone they are not.

You are not a true friend if you expect them to accept your help and/or gratitude but you yourself won't accept theirs in return.

And if you get offended by them doing the same thing, you are really doing it to make yourself feel and/or show that you are above them. That your help and gratitude is better than theirs. A truly humble person knows how to appreciate it.

you ever tell someone "hey, thanks"...and their reply was "don't mention it"...in today's phase of life, we're not always going to remember to say "thanks" or "you're welcome".....so common courtesty isn't always necessary when it comes to friends you known all your life...hahah

I mean do your siblings always say thanks when you do them a favor and you are a punk ass if you actually anticipate them to say thanks? but if they do, they do, and you say "don't mentiuon it, we're family yo"... true friends to me are like family...you know they are grateful without having to say...it's the vibe they give off...you know their mind...now, not saying that leads to people taking advantage of you...but that's why you also got to know who you can operate this way to...and like I said, often times, it's only your shadow...yours elf your family, and your brother from another lifetime...hah ah

Glad to hear you changed your mind and agreed with me. O0

I've never gone to it before. It's new, so I"m not sure what to think of it. Not too curious about and no interest in going there any time soon.

But I'm pretty pleased with Far East on Arcade and Tay Ho on University.

Quang on Nicollet in Mpls is good, too, but that's a bit far for me.

Next best thing is my very own home-made pho.

Yes, twice.

Talking about pho, we did pho yesterday.  We used those instant pot pressure cooker for the broth and bones.  And let me tell you, the meats were so soft and it literally fell right off the bones.  We used a pack of ox tail from Walmart.

Never had ox tail bones to flavor broth before.

It's also interesting they use only ox bones and ox tails or ox tail bones and not cow bones or  cow tail bones.

No oxtail bones.  ;D I like how it makes the broth clean.

they say that, but i'll pretty sure its just cow tails and cow bones.  ox just sound........m ore ear appealing.  but put them in a pressure cooker..1-1.5 hrs later, the meat is very soft and very good.

everybody...le ech party at far east! for your phree pho...the password is: pebhmong!

anyways, I'm a greedy person and will put you on the spot...I don't mind sharing my beer, but when you've been drinking 10 of my cases, can you at least bring one for us to share.  everybody is designated to bring your own food (we got the roast pig, laab, egg rolls, fried chicken, plus some other special dish) and you have a simple task of chips and dips...now, we got nothing to quench our thirst.  just because we met at an event, don't mean i have to take you home every single time...it's a bit of an inconvenience and i'm not your free taxi nor is my car a magical car that doesn't run on fuel.  when we make bets and you win, you want it now...however, when I win, you "got me next time!"...LOL, you's funny! with all said, i really don't mind just because we're friends but what i do mind is you talking bad about me (behind my back), it goes to show the lack of respect and appreciation. leech on, leecher!  ha!
