lol... some folks are so racists... personally, the texture, if you can get by the look... silkies aka black chickens are more tender especially when you boil it aka vom like that... but that's just me...

i gnaw the hell out of bones be it chickens, pork, beef... and the thing with silkies is that the cartilage comes off the bones with ease... unlike white chickens especially egg laying chickens... omg, tough and stringy... never have i ever experienced tough and stringy silkies... 

but in the end... to each his/her own... lol!

The black chicken aren't as tender to me as the white ones, so I only eat the later. That looks good for this weather right now.

ok, so tender isn't exactly the word to describe silkies... to me they just aren't as stringy as some white chickens when you boil them...

I like freshly killed black silken chicken. They are hard to come by here. We only get the white/brown chicken deliver once a week to the Hmong store.
