Little girl's cousin coming around
« on: March 29, 2019, 01:40:44 PM »
The little girl's 2.5-year-old first cousin has been coming for nanny services, too.So, I've decided to give her a few things to see what she may like the most.

"Book! Book!" she says.

I flip through the pages of a Hmong primer pamphlet and identify those pictures in Hmong to her everyday.

Then she would ask for candies, even though she eats mostly vegetables and white rice in plain cold water.

Each time she's had a lollipop, she would stick out her tongue to tell me and tell me what color it is.

"Liab liab," she would say. "Xiav xiav...dawb dawb."

Today, while at work, I called her mother and said I wanted to go pick her up with the other kids and take them to lunch.

Her mother said "okay" but also put this little one on the phone.

"Hi, Reporter," I said to the little one.

Surprisingly, I didn't hear anything back. Not even a "hi" like she has been able to say at other times.

"She's sticking her tongue to you to look at," her mother said. "She just had an OREO cookie."

"Dub dub," I said.

"Yeah," she said back.
